The 3rd stage of the IEC 60034 standard has been in force since 01/01/2017, stipulating that all motors with a nominal output power of 0.75 to 375 kW must achieve at least the defined efficiency level IE3. Alternatively, motors with efficiency level IE2 can be used, provided they are equipped with speed control.
